The society is disturbed with the information about the forthcoming medical reform. State health officials speak commercial language: instead of \u201cmedical assistance\u201d they say provision of \u201cservices\u201d, instead of \u201chealth care institutions\u201d they say \u201centerprises, which must become profitable.\u201d Apparently, these people have lost connection with the reality and do not understand that medical assistance is not a business process. First of all, it is the act of grace inherent in society deserving of title \u201chuman.\u201d<\/p>\n
Of course, the field of health protection in our country must be improved, and medicine should correspond with the best European standards. There are many examples of best practices of the foreign insurance medicine, and many projects on its introduction in Ukraine. In the programme of the political party \u201cNash Krai\u201d, we emphasized that the way to the deserved remuneration of doctors\u2019 labour, to the qualitative prevention and treatment lies through the medical insurance (health insurance funds).<\/p>\n
Unreasonable autonomy establishment in health facilities, introduction of payment for medical assistance (just imagine that the simple appointment to get a prescription may cost UAH 150!) may lead to the collapse of health protection and to the increase of chronic diseases and mortality in society. The developed network of health facilities existing in Ukraine must remain in state and communal ownership, and medical assistance must be guaranteed to everyone and affordable for each citizen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
