Public organization To Hear the Future together with the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex carried out a campaign devoted to the Cochlear Implant Day, which was celebrated in Ukraine last weekend.<\/p>\n
Especially for children with heavy hearing disorders forced to use a cochlear implant, the organizers of a campaign prepared a rich programme including a tour of Ecopark, communication with animals in the interactive yard, entertaining animation, creative performances of guests, gifts and a table with the sweets. Tickets to a football game Shakhtar \u2014 Dynamo became a separate gift to small guests and their parents from the Social and Humanitarian Multi-Complex and its partners.<\/p>\n
“Our fundamental principle is tolerance, transparency and inclusion. A Multi-Complex develops cooperation with public institutions and public organizations in this direction, constantly widening range of adherents and supporting the important initiatives” \u2014 told in Feldman Ecopark.<\/p>\n
Organizers of the campaign held in Feldman Ecopark under the slogan “I Want to Hear!” reported that its purpose \u2013 to draw public attention to a problem of providing cochlear implants to all who need, this operation is expensive and underfunded by the state and the city authorities. Let’s note that according to ENT-specialists, the number of children requiring cochlear implant increases every year.<\/p>\n
“Cochlear implantation is an important operation for people, whom hearing aids don’t help anymore. Thanks to it, they will be able to hear and to speak, to live full lives in the society. It is essential that the child started to hear as soon as possible, he could study at usual school with an implant. In this case, special additional conditions or lessons are not required \u2014 the head of public organization To Hear the Future Maryna Nykolaieva told. \u2014 Our children are comprehensively developed, as well as the ordinary hearing children; they sing, dance, participate in theatrical performances and play musical instruments. That is, there are no barriers and there is nothing impossible for them”.
\nIt should be reminded that work with people with special needs is one of the main directions of Feldman Ecopark since the moment of its establishment. Since 2013, the Centre for Psychosocial Rehabilitation works in its structure. The specialists of the Centre help children and adults with various diseases and disorders by means of modern methodologies, in particular, eco-therapy and animal-assisted therapy. Besides, inclusive lessons are given in Children\u2019s Ecology and Nature Study Academy of Feldman Ecopark, and in the summer special sessions are organized in the Children\u2019s health-improving and educational camp.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
